Limbo:

A wildly undisciplined, rampagingly funky free-jazz collective operating in a zone of uncertainty where freedom of expression is everything... Grinding the gears as they lurch from rambunctious 70's jazz jams to evil experiments in minimalist Krautrock, from smoky late-night soul to feather-light ambient delicacies, Limbo are committed to music that is improvised, open-ended and spontaneous.

Limbo emerged blinking into the daylight in 2000, from a dingy shared studio in a crumbling building in Bristol. Along the way some of Bristol's most innovative musicians have been part of the Limbo project: Paul Wigens (Eyebrow, Blurt), Roger Mills (Statik Sound System), John Garden (Scissor Sisters), Jon Wygens (Blue Aeroplanes, McKay, Jukes), Dave Perry (Spaceways), Joe Evans (Trio la Luna), Pete Judge (Get the Blessing), Dan Moore (Phantom Limb)...

"Like all outstanding groups Limbo's tone is instantly recognizable, but still individual... At times they improvise like The Art Ensemble of Chicago, they groove like Miles and they drift into experimental rock, but at all times the sound they make is the essence of jazz." - Moles

The band have been everything from a trio to a septet. They've made critically-acclaimed theatre with Gerald Tyler as Year of the Bear theatre company. They utterly rock, and you need to see them live or buy an album, or whatever... Anyway, welcome to the Limbo website.
